Algorand MBR reclaim FAQ
The important details before you scan, select, or sign.
What is MBR?
Algorand accounts reserve a minimum balance for each ASA holding and application Local State allocation. Closing an eligible holding or clearing Local State lowers that requirement.
Does scanning require a wallet?
No. Wallet addresses and holdings are public. A wallet is needed only when you choose to sign reclaim transactions.
Can AlgoReclaim take my assets?
AlgoReclaim blocks any reclaim group that moves a non-zero asset, rekeys your account, or closes its full ALGO balance. Your wallet shows every transaction before you sign.
Why are apps not selected automatically?
Clear State can delete app-specific records or eligibility even though it releases MBR. You must choose each app explicitly after reading the warning.
How much does it cost?
Scanning is free. If you reclaim, the suggested success fee is 10% of the unlocked amount, capped at 1 ALGO. Network transaction fees also apply, and every fee is shown before signing.
